When we set out to film, it was another New Orleans day. Once you get past the inevitable grime and heat, you feel a certain energy or “atmosphere”. Like a kid throwing himself into a mud fight.

It’s a simple question. And the answers can lead us anywhere.

I never told her how much that time we spent together changed me, and how much I loved her. The last day she was alive, she was not lucid, couldn't speak and couldn't move. As she laid there in a comatose state, I told her how great of a Grandmother she was and I asked her to be at my wedding and be there when my first baby was born and I told her how much I loved her. If I could have anything happen by the end of the day.....I'd get the chance to ask her if she heard me. ”
